The 3rd best time management tool ever
And I think I invented the third best time management tool ever, but if I’m wrong someone please let me know. It’s the Wish List calendar. I keep a calendar just for events I’d like to do: scheduled just like appointments for the doctor, the car in the shop, the children’s soccer games except Wish List appointments aren’t set in stone yet. I might be able to find the time, might not, might be able to afford them, PROBABLY NOT…
So each entry is: date, full time – 6:00PM – 9:00PM, 6:00AM – 9:00AM (not gonna happen!), place, explanation of the event, cost, a phone number if I think I might have questions, directions if that seems wise. That way, I can see what other conflicts I have for the art gallery opening, concert, free night at the Zoo…
And I just plain have a reminder of the event right under my nose. If it requires an RSVP by a certain date, that deadline is an appointment in the Wish List calendar as well.
I’ve gotten to fabulous parties at the supremely last second of the rope being pulled back with this method. It might be my third best time-keeping tool, but it’s my favorite.
I have a fourth great technique as well. But I can’t give away all my secrets.
