7200 vs. 2100
7200 vs. 2100. OHMIMULTIVERSE IT’S AWESOME. A 5,100 sq. ft. difference between the Greenwood Seattle ReCreative and the Georgetown locations. Seattle ReCreative takes in arts & crafts supplies of all kinds – yarn to wood scraps, rubber stamps to beads. It reuses the donations for summer camps, classes, and a retail shop at each location. In addition, the Georgetown location has a consignment gallery. AND the materials are distributed for free to public school teachers and BIPOC artists. AND you can rent spaces for events. AND you can bring school field trips, and community or corporate groups, to them. AND you can directly ask for help via a materials donation.
The original Greenwood location, the tiny one, is magic, judiciously jumbled, oh-so-slightly shadowed, a hobbit hole or Diagon Alley shop. The Georgetown building is bright, open, faintly reminds this Nu Yawker of the Guggenheim. Both locations are worth visiting. Don’t bring a credit card, and only a limited amount of cash…
