Hospitality House “…seeks to help homeless women find home, health and hope … in the south King County area in October 2000, people from the community came together, with the help of twelve churches in the area, to establish this single homeless women’s shelter at the Lake Burien Presbyterian Church. Hospitality House’s 90-day program lays the foundation for empowerment and success for a better future.”
It is the effort of a magnificent, dedicated partnership between the Des Moines United Methodist Church, the John Knox Presbyterian Church, Soroptomist South Seattle, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Lake Burien Presbyterian Church, Southminster Presbyterian Church, Normandy Park United Church of Christ, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church, the Church of Latter Day Saints, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Saltwater Unitarian Universalist Church and St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
Like many shelters, Hospitality House has a never-diminishing wish-list for gifts-in-kind.
