I am THRILLED to announce that a wonderful counselor, Cricket Farr, LMHC, GMHS, has opened an independent practice and is ready to take on clients. I hope I’m not going to get in trouble with her for quoting her Psychology Today directory profile but I want people to know EXACTLY how awesome Cricket is. I know Cricket through several professional interactions: we have shared a client, we have given a talk together, I’ve given a training to her staff at a prior employer, we both belong to the Northwest Hoarding Coalition.
“Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington State. After earning my MA in Psychology from UNCC I began my career in Seattle. Over the years I have worked with children, veterans, people in and out of recovery, and people of all genders. Today I work with adults ages 35-100, and I especially love working with older adults. I tend to work from a collaborative mindset, imagining myself alongside clients as we work together to find solutions to difficulties. If you are unsure if therapy is for you, or if anything can help, please call. Let’s talk.
I work with people experiencing depressed mood, high stress, and/ or hi-clutter homes; we work together to find solutions. I use Evidence Based Practices such as CBT, DBT and elements of the CREST model. I am certified as a Geriatric Mental Health Specialist (GMHS), and I can consult with families and caregivers who have concerns about a loved one.
Beginning is tough, I know. You have lots of questions, and you are Just. So. Tired. Of feeling this way, of not being your best self, of not . . . beginning. I know, and I understand. Give me a call or email and let’s just talk about how to begin. The rest will take care of itself.”
