Cue The Container Store. I’ve recommended The Container Store for many many years for the solutions you can’t find elsewhere: excellent storage for memorabilia, general-use bins that are smaller than typical, larger than usual. My spice rack, 15 years old, came from The Container Store and there’d been NO other option to fit the space it had to fit.
I’m a HUGE advocate of using attractive tools. Saturday 1/31/2026, NAPO’s cooperative GO Month (Get Organized) day, The Container Store didn’t disappoint. I hadn’t been there in a while – sooooo many basket options, multiple textures, shapes, colors, sizes. Color-coded plastic bins, close to a rainbow’s worth. And maybe a touch of elegance.
There are other providers. Ikea, which tends to have a simpler, even playful style. Ace Hardware for the basics. Bed Bath & Beyond online.
The lesson is, “Shop around.” Give yourself time to decide what you need. Give yourself time to find what you need.
