Cyndie Dantzscher – Savoury Thymes Catering

Cyndie Dantzscher, Personal Chef, Caterer and Founder of Savoury Thymes Catering isn’t just a Chef. Cyndie delights in teaching: teaching about nutrition, technique, flavor combinations, and unusual foods such as smoked milk (yes, smoked milk, which she uses for mashed potatoes). Cyndie is another of my Sky Valley Business Boosters Monroe BNI buds, which makes me very lucky because Cyndie passes chili, pulled pork and appetizers my way on a regular basis. And dried fruits and veggies – You ALWAYS want to be friends with someone who sees a food dehydrator as a toy.

She is equally comfortable with providing lunch to downtown Seattle corporate power brokers and treats to baby shower guests. I know someone who still considers his wedding anniversary dinner for two, at his house, full service included, as one of his best special occasions ever, years later.

Cyndie even gives at-your-home cooking lessons as one of her services. Teaching and sharing are integral to her personality. Feeding people is one of her ways to share love. So it’s no surprise that Cyndie’s charities of choice feed people in need. Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank feeds pets, families and seniors by fostering connections with non-profit agencies, local companies, national companies (Amazon!) and plain ‘ol folks throughout the Valley. Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission provides shelter, hot meals and much much more to people in the greater Seattle area. The Mission nourishes body and spirit – one of its programs is Art from the Streets, “a weekly opportunity for artistic expression and space for homeless men and women to explore the arts as a catalyst for healing and therapy.” Solid Ground offers multiple resources for its clients, from help finding housing to education about basic nutrition.  Cyndie is a graduate of Le Cordon-Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Seattle. Cyndie wishes the clients and patrons of these institutions “bon appetit.”
