Hanging a door – a reminder of mindfulness

I’m sitting in the Hotel 116 Bellevue lobby, waiting for my National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals Seattle Area Chapter meeting to start. I’ve been here an hour, give or take. The entire time I’ve been here, two carpenters have been hanging two entryway doors.  They’re taking exact care, using everything from shims to power drills to levels, and the job is far more complex than I would have anticipated. They are refusing to hurry, and refusing to finish until the doors are truly plumb. All actions can be taken in mindfulness.
