Me, I’ve found something to brand!
Me, a Certified Professional Organizer who’s reluctant to give most clients a business card! I’ve found something to brand, something I’d pass out like pens at a bank.
I’ve come to a standstill trying to teach a certain person, who shall remain nameless, about calendars. And many of my clients dislike calendars – “too confining,” “too confusing,” “BORING”… So, as I mentioned in another post, I went hunting for calendars with the cool factor. IT’S HERE. My Builder’s Book, Inc. Scheduling Wheel Chart is here. IT IS AWESOME.
It’s good to 2042 as a perpetual calendar. What’s a perpetual calendar?, you ask. A perpetual calendar is a calendar which doesn’t need to be constantly rewritten in order for the dates and days on it to be correct. You can find future dates with it – so you can propose marriage to someone, decide you want the event a year from the day, pop that “365” into the calendar and it’ll tell you when you need to reserve that catering hall. I’ve got weddings on the brain – a colleague has two kids getting married this year and a third who just got engaged. You know you need to get that leaky roof fixed before the rainy season, maybe you want it finished by September 1 – it is Seattle after all – and every contractor you interview tells you it’s going to be a 52-day job. You pop September 1 on that wheel, and it tells you those trucks better be on-site July 11. I could play with this thing for HOURS.
This wonder of the world isn’t going to help you get down to hours and minutes. That’s what tools like the Planner Pad, Bullet Journal, old-fashioned wall hangers with all the cute kittens or desk cubes, somber or otherwise, scheduling apps, a watch and your phone are about. BUT it does make time “real” – a physical manifestation of an intangible. Cool.
