The Difference a Digit can Make – Bookkeeping for the Faint-of-Heart
I’m tormented with reconciling my bookkeeping for tax year 2017, a task I’m abysmally fond of putting off as long as possible. Far as I’m concerned, it’s with good reason. $116.89 for lunch?!??!??!??!?!??!??!?????
My teenaged son, who like all teens has to be stopped before he eats the refrigerator or the plates, and I, but $116.89 FOR LUNCH???!??!?!??!???!??!?? The perils of a misplaced digit. $16.89 for lunch, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better. Panic is NOT pleasant. And an excellent illustration of the value of delegating tasks when possible. Someday, maybe, I’ll be one of those bookkeeping clients who hands my poor afflicted bookkeeper a mound of folders “HERE.” All neatly labeled, all delineated by month, all receipts identified by expense-type, (mostly) entered in good ol’ QuickBooks.
