OPEN A WINDOW

Sounds simple, open a window. And still I forget to do it, even as I’m driving on my favorite Washington back roads, surrounded by greenery, no other cars for miles, no commercial buildings burping smoke, and thinking to myself just how stale the recycled air is in my car. How open windows benefit the environment, a Sept 17, 2104 article from The Columbus Dispatch article  is a fantastic summary of why we should all throw open the sash, from the reduction of allergens inside our environments to possible savings on our heating bills.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission‘s page The Inside Story: A Guide to Indoor Air Quality is the scary version of the Dispatch article.

But my condolences to everyone who’ll need to start popping antihistamines because of all the darn flowers.
