We need the closet, Harry. Move out.

Do you have a Harry Potter closet? As I sit in my apartment, pondering how to find another few inches of space next to my water heater for the shipment of boxes which arrived two weeks earlier than I expected, I’m somehow reminded of Harry Potter’s cupboard under the stairs. A nuisance space, too strangely shaped and too small to hold anything useful. Until now.

The “before” above (DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT MY CLOSET.) became the “after” below through the inspired work of Alan Regala and his team, awesome craftsmen at ShelfGenie of Seattle who create customized glide-out shelving for pre-existing cabinets, pantries and the like. And if Alan and his people can do this amazing project, I’ll bet his colleagues can do so as well: ShelfGenie has franchises all across the US and into Canada.

So watch out Harry. Start paying some rent or move out. And PS: the real Harry Potter house went up for sale in September 2017. I wish I could get it. DISCLAIMER: I am a paid affiliate of ShelfGenie of Seattle. If a referral from me results in a successful sale for Alan and his team, I receive a referral fee.
