Washington State Sales Tax
As of 7/1/2021, Washington State requires me to charge sales tax on my services and any goods or services, for example the assistance of subcontractors, I directly add to my services on behalf of a Washington client. The charge will depend on a client’s location: current rates vary from 8.4 to 10.4% of my rates.
I’m MORTIFIED, STUNNED, and every other “I’M MISERABLE” word I can think of about this.

So is the tax dependent on the client’s/resident’s address? Plus it is confusing for online sellers on Ebay, as now the seller has to determine if taxes will be charged. Where do you send the taxes and how does the state get their money?
The tax is dependent on the client’s location, where I’m providing the services. I don’t know about eBay vendors – in my case, what’s being taxed is my labor, +, if I buy items (you know, like bins) for my clients. Or, if I directly hire subcontractors, I have to collect sales tax ion their labor as well.
